Whale sharks ..appear at Gladden Spit in April and May, when large aggregations of cubera snappers spawn.
As fertilized eggs float to the surface in patches like small oil slicks, the whale sharks loll about with
wide open mouths, inhaling their meals. Dr. Will Heyman..working in
Belize ..for 10 years, counted 25 whale sharks at one point in an area
150 feet in diameter...

Whale shark also turn up in April near Donsol, Sorsogon RP,
Alos "March & April" in Ningaloo in WA
seems like they all live for that April fling

Open day at the Block, Redfern
05.30.04 (4:49 pm)   [edit]

Sunday at the block. A big Maori presence. Waiata and taiaha. I have this theory that
some peoples just love a stage. Sure enough, lots of Maori bands, some Polynesian dancers,
a Philippino, even a Senegalese dancer, finally some aborigine youth got to the stage.
Aborigines are happier dancing on the ground, I was once told.
It was fun flirting with Maori girls.
Note the roof missing its iron. This valuable central location was given to the Aboriginals by the Whitlam
govt. The current regime now wants them out. Maybe
Clover, our new Lord Mayor, can defend the Block.
Lots of hammer, Clover wants an injecting room.
I reckon the cops should do what they do in lower Manhattan.. allow herb but ban hammer.

Warlike US will shed its Utopian view
"The United States is a martial nation. It accounts for 5 per cent of the world's population,
20 per cent of the world economy, and fully 50 per cent of global defence spending. It is
structured for war.
In the 228 years since it declared independence, the US has made 200 military interventions
abroad, says the Congressional Research Service, an average of one every 14 months.
It has much less experience in introducing democracy than it does in waging war,
incidentally. It has made 16 attempts, of which four have succeeded, says the
Washington-based journal Foreign Policy.
The journal defines success as the survival of a functioning democratic system 10 years after
the first US intervention. The success stories? Japan, Germany, Panama and Grenada.
Of the 43 presidents in the history of the US, about a quarter, 11 of them, have been former
generals or military leaders"

...well, really, "Panama and Grenada" not much to boast about in the last half century is it?

Ackland on Downer
"As Foreign Minister, Downer has a selective approach to the application of the rule of law when it
comes to the interests of Australians. Only on Tuesday he was on the radio saying that the Kurds'
continued detention of an Australian citizen has its limits. "If their concerns are sufficient and
their evidence is sufficient they should bring charges against him."

Imagine holding an Australian citizen for an extended period without charges. How upsetting is that?
The hypocrisy of this befuddled minister never ceases to amaze.

Blair on Liberty

"If there's a political decision as to whether you go into a place like Falluja in a particular way,
that has got be done with the consent of the Iraqi government,'' Mr. Blair..
``That's what the transfer of sovereignty means,'' ..
..
Mr. Powell, however, told reporters..if the American military had to act
``in a way that might not be in total consonance with what the Iraqi interim government might want
to do at a particularly moment in time, U.S. forces remain under U.S. command and will do what is
necessary to protect themselves.''
..Britain's most senior diplomat in Iraq.. Sir Jeremy Greenstock, said in an interview that the
``coalition had been careless about killing civilians''

As I see it, any talk of "self defence" is crap - the USA put themselves their,
they have the obligation to fuck off, not the right to protect themselves, in someone elses place...

The world will have little sympathy for whatever harm happens next to the Christian/Jewish Empire.

Meanwhile in the USA itself, people have never had any realistic picture of the rest of the world. When I lived there, most people believed that the USA "shouldn't give so much aid money to other countries".
The rulers, like Walter Wriston, knew that the flow of money was inwards not outwards. "Around here, Jakarta pays the bills" said Walt.
...And now, the uneducated bulk of the USA somehow believe that GeorgeII is protecting them...

For several decades, virtually all the fixed nitrogen added to the fields of China, Egypt and Indonesia has come from synthetic fertilizers. When you travel in Hunan or Jiangsu, through the Nile Delta or the manicured landscapes of Java, remember that the children running around or leading docile water buffalo got their body proteins, via the urea their parents spread on the fields, from the Haber-Bosch synthesis of ammonia
Vaclav Smil 1999

...Vaclav Smil,
not an author to err toward hyperbole,
suggests that the total world mass of that
prince of proteins "vital nitrogenase"
may be less than a dozen kilograms.
The graphs show a nearly exponential
rise in world annual synthetic nitrogen
production, from a pre-Haber 25 tons in
1900 to about 90 million tons in 1990!

Barely a blink, despite the evidence of children's suffering
vandstone

Late on Thursday.. Philip Ruddock, quietly tabled the .. report into the mandatory detention of asylum-seeker children..
..it tells, for example, the story of a boy who was sent with his family to Woomera in April 2001. At the time he was 12. After a year in detention, the boy, on many occasions, threw himself onto the razor wire or tried to hang himself. He explained his action like this: "We came for support and it seems we're being tortured." ..

... "Between 1999 and 2004 a serious offence against innocent children took place in Australia. The offence was committed by the Government. While it happened, the consciences of far too many Australians were asleep."

Barely a blink, despite the evidence of children's suffering

Moving here from blogger/blog*spot
who threw me out for being too political.
Hope I can stay here

here is teh blog that got me fired:blogger.com, who host this blog
are evidently allowing themselves to be used
in a psy-op
to whit: they prominently feature
a fake blog "iraqthamodel"
(even the name is obviously a psy-op construct)
which has a crude question and answer format featuring
an Iraqi "dentist"
you know the sort of thing:
"what sort of job is the USA doing in Iraq. Mohhamad?"
"A superb job, my cousin"
I put a comment there, saying it smelled like a psy-op
which was still there when I went back
but I have been banned by "the webmaster"
(funny how a blog has a webmaster)
From a brief textural analysis I surmise the writer
is a male, 30-45, not an Arab, residing on the East Coast of the USA
who is consulting with an Iraqi who is not a permanent resident of Iraq
...its that bad.
So how close am I "webmaster"?

They have a lot of comments,
obviously not critical ones,
since the "webmaster" bans criticism.
Mostly the usual jejune jerkoff redneck "waste the Arabs" stuff.

So I obviously should find a new host for my blog,
but I cant be bothered.
I will probably stop blogging immediately after
my blogspot is trashed
which cant be far off (eh "webmaster"?)
